Images like this one create a contrast of reality, or realities, not because of the color of the model’s skin, but because of the contrast in the scene. There it is, an otherwise ordinary, everyday setting (scene) that has been made “different” and special by simply adding a naked human to it. Fantastic! So simple.
Nothing remarkable is happening, there is only one person featured. It is decidedly not an erotic image, or at least there does not seem to be implied eroticism in it to me, it is simply a beautiful image of a person doing something quite ordinary without clothing! That is, or could be, a stated goal of social Nudism or social Naturism, that in accepting the fact the people are not inherently dangerous to view, we can and should view them however they wish to be seen. Okay. Please back-up and read the last sentence again, because this is the important part. The social movement also called, “Body Acceptance” asserts (or argues) that each person is an individual and worthy of total, complete and absolute respect – REGARDLESS of what they wear or even IF they should choose to wear nothing.
Appearing nude in public is a choice someone makes, and if they are of “sound mind” and make an effort to present themselves openly, honestly and completely, then we collectively should respect that choice. It is not for any of us to dictate or demand a person live a certain kind of life, unless their choice proves to be directly and immediately harmful to others; not incidentally annoying, casually disruptive, surprising or mildly disturbing, but flat-out directly destructive. This is the standard most of the planet lives by, because there are 7 billion people cohabiting this planet and we should be able, and entitled, to self-manage our own daily existence – and happiness (together).
