Von Wong chased storms through 7 different states and spent many 8-hour days finding the perfect 10-15 minute windows for capturing his surreal stormchasing portraits.
Most of the time, Wong and his team, which included friends, fans, and professional stormchaser Kelly DeLay, had just 10-15 minutes to set up and shoot.
And even less time to tear down and get the hell out.
Eventually, he turned the experience into a climate change project, and his surreal photos became posters.
Initially, he thought the whole thing was crazy and impossible, but luckily for us, his girlfriend convinced him to do it.
